唐：现在听到了，关于韦斯敏斯德，短的习道的课程（要理问答）。

唐：你们知道第一个问题和答案是什么吗？
葛：Whatthefirstquestionisthis。Whatisthechiefintheman；thechief；themainpurposeoftheman？
唐：第一个问题人生命最大的目的是什么？
葛：Andtheansweristhis；toglorifyGodandtoenjoyHimforever。
唐：答案是这样，人活着的目的就是荣耀神，而且永远以神为乐。
葛：Thisiswhatthereformedtheologyespeciallyconcernedandemphasize。
唐：这个是归正神学特别强调的一点。
葛：Goddoesnotexisttomakeushappy。
唐：上帝不是因祂存在，要使我们快乐。
葛：GodexistandhasmadeussothatwecanliveforHim。
唐：上帝存在，上帝造我们，使我们被造为祂而活。
葛：SothatwecanserveHim。
唐：我们可以事奉祂。
葛：AndinservingourGod；andobeyingGodthatishowhumanbeingsachievetruehappiness。
唐：我们顺服神，我们为神而活，我们才能达到真正的幸福。
葛：AndthatiswhyGodsendHissonJesusintotheworld。
唐：所以上帝差遣祂的儿子耶稣到世界上来。
葛：Tosavesinnerslikeyouandme。
唐：来拯救你我这些罪人。
葛：Sothatwecanfindthetruemeaningofourlife。
唐：所以我们才能找到生命真正的意义。
葛：infollowingJesusChrist。
唐：也就是在跟随基督的道路上。

唐：我要再加一点。

唐：归正神学特别强调这一点。

唐：所有的人的生命

唐：是要服事上帝。

唐：我们整个的生命是宗教性的。

唐：不是说我们有一些宗教性的部份，好像有另外一部份是世俗性的部份，就这样分裂，分割的。

唐：对神的服事，是包含整个生命，每一个阶层，每一个部份。

唐：该柏尔（AbrahamKuyper1837…1920）荷兰的大神学家他这样讲。
葛：JesusChristisnowtheKingofcreation。
唐：耶稣基督是受造界的君王。
葛：AndJesusChristhasthistosaytoyouandmetonight。
唐：耶稣基督今天晚上对你对我这么说。
葛：ThereisnotonesquareinchoftheuniverseofwhichJesusChristdoesnotmaketheclaimismine。
唐：在整个宇宙中间没有一方寸的地方，或者空间是基督没有治理在其中的。
葛：Thatiswhatreformedtheologydoesbetterthananyother。
唐：这个是归正神学在这些事情上，给我们看见这个神学是好过所有其它的神学。

唐：所以所谓的人权，不是真正要题，课题。

唐：所谓的「人权」是神给的人权，才是人权。

唐：上帝拯救人。

唐：这不是关系到，不是注重到人自己有什么权利。
葛：Butabouttheneedandrightsofothers。
唐：乃是提到，人对别人的需要跟别人的权利的觉悟。

唐：所以耶稣基督的福音一定会产生推动人权的运动。
葛：SoIguessIwouldemphasisthat。
唐：我想我已经着重了这一点了。
ThehumanrightanddemocracyinthetimeofSocratesandintimeofAthensandintimeofFrenchrevolution；andinthetimeofreformationeraareverydifferent。WhatisthedifferencemainlyaccordingtoyouropinionbaseontheBible。
葛：Ithinkthedemocracythatthereformationgaveabirthto。
唐：是改教运动使民主诞生出来的。
葛：becausethereformersrecognizethatultimatelypoliticalauthoritydidnotbelongtoanyoneperson；
唐：因为改教家认为政权不属于任何一个人。
葛：butbelongtoGod。
唐：政权是属于神。
葛：Anditasaministeramonghumanbeingswheretherewerenooneheldabsolutepower。
唐：所以人服事人的时候，没有一个人应当有绝对的权威在他的身上。
葛：NowdependshowyoudefinedemocracyIsuppose。
唐：现在我们还要界定，怎样的定义才是真正了解什么叫作「民主」。
葛：Inonewaytheideaofdemocracyisveryunchristian。
唐：有一个角度，就是许多人谈民主是非常非基督教的意义的。
葛：Becausedemocracyformanypeople。
唐：对很多人来说民主，
葛：suchasinAthensandinFrenchrevolution。
唐：比如说在雅典的民主，跟法国大革命的时候的民主。
葛：Menthat；peoplehaveultimatepower。
唐：就是百姓有绝对的终极性的权威。
葛：Andtheyacknowledgenohigherpowerthanthemselves。
唐：所以没有任何权威是高过人民的权威。
葛：Sotheresultofthatkindofdemocracy
唐：那种的民主
葛：wasagreatdealofchaosdestruction。
唐：就变成了毁坏性的混乱的社会的架构的因素。
葛：ButwhenpeopleunderstandallpoweresfromGod；
唐：当我们基督徒知道所有的权柄从神而来的时候。
葛：isgivingtopeople。
唐：是神把权柄给人的。
葛：Sothatnoonepersonhasallthepower。
唐：所以不是说有一个人可以掌有一切的权力。
葛：Andthepowerisdistributed。
唐：权柄要分享。
葛：Sayinthelegislature；andexecutivebranch；andinacourtsystem。
唐：像司法院，像立法，像执法，这些分三分立的法治的运动。
葛：Thenthatwillbeformthedemocracy；whatwilltendtobehealthyandconstructed。
唐：这就变成一种健全的民主形式来建立我们的社会。感谢上帝！
SoChristiancontributiontotheworldissoclear；soweshouldgivethankstoGod。Andyoushouldknowthisisbasedonthereformation；thereformertheydiscoverallthegreatestmeaningoftheBibleandtobeejustlikelighthousetoshineforthinhumanreasoninghistory。这是改教家所发现的真理光照这个世界。感谢上帝！

我们现在一同打开希伯来书第十二章，希伯来书第十二章，我念第一节到第二节，你们读第三节、第四节。我们再读希伯来书第十二章第一节，到第四节，我念一、二，你们念三、四：
「我们既有这许多的见证人，如同云彩围着我们，就当放下各样的重担，脱去容易缠累我们的罪，存心忍耐，奔那摆在我们前头的路程，仰望为我们信心创始成终的耶稣＇或作仰望那将真道创始成终的耶稣＇；他因那摆在前面的喜乐，就轻看羞辱，忍受了十字架＇的苦难＇，便坐在上帝宝座的右边。那忍受罪人这样顶撞的，你们要思想，免得疲
